The Zion Christian Mission Centre, a Bible education centre of Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (Shincheonji Church of Jesus, Chairman Man-hee Lee), held the 'Class 113 Graduation Ceremony' at Daegu Stadium on the 20th November. There were a total of 106,186 graduates on that day, making it the largest theological education institution in the world!   ____________________________________   How amazing was it to see the Daegu stadium completely full of graduates – the sight is truly impressive! In that stadium 80,000 of the 106,186 graduates gathered to celebrate their course completion from Schincheonji’s theology institute, the Zion Christian Mission Centre! All of these students had completed the theology course within one year, therefore this was the largest theology school graduation ever!   Although there was that terrible incident in Seoul where many were killed due to uncontrollable crowds just weeks before, the graduatio

God’s Covenant promise that we should keep

Image
Before I came to Shincheonji I was a believer who really believed in God….but didn’t actually know much about him at all! I couldn’t doubt that God existed and that I wanted to live out a life of faith, but I didn’t read the Bible much, and certainly couldn’t explain the Bible to anyone! When I learnt the purpose of the Bible and the reason why God gave it to us, it really turned my life of faith around and gave me so much more confidence and clarity too! It also helped me to understand the promise God had made to me, and how I could receive the blessing of that promise too!   I would like to take some time to explain to you the reason why God gave us the Bible – that it is God’s Covenant promise that we must keep!   🔹What is a Covenant? Definition of Covenant: a formal agreement between two parties to do something specified in order to achieve a mutually beneficial result.   In the Old Testament, God makes a Covenant with the Israelites. In the New Testament, God an

Why do some people call Shincheonji a cult?

Image
As one who is a part of Shincheonji Church of Jesus, it is shocking and saddening to read what is said about my church through influential platforms such as newspapers and social media. Without the true perspective, lies and misunderstandings are what is told to the public, and in turn, this is what they sadly come to believe.   I’m sure you know the feeling of being misrepresented or misunderstood….it’s not nice. Unfortunately, a lot of the information online about Shincheonji are accusations that are one-sided, bias towards misinterpretation and politically driven mainstream opinion.   So before I go any further, I wanted to thank you for reading this post where I have an opportunity to share some truth with you. Please do read it with an open mind to hear the other side of the story, and also please reference my other posts for more truthful and biblical understanding about Shincheonji too. Oxford Dictionary definition of a cult: A small group of people who have extreme re

What is the Zion Christian Mission Centre?

The Zion Christian Mission Centre (ZCMC) is a free theology institute run by Shincheonji Church of Jesus. The ZCMC which was established in 1990 and is based in over 200 countries throughout the world, has the aim to share the Word of God in the form of a comprehensive study of the Christian Bible. The courses are free of charge, as God states in Rev 22:17 and Rev 21:6 that the water of life should be given for free.   As well as this course being available for the general public, there has been an influx in the recent years of theology students and Pastors coming to learn from the ZCMC with the heart of wanting to become more equipped and upskilled with the truth to better carry out their ministries.   The ZCMC teaches the Bible as it is. That means, without adding worldly interpretations and without taking away from the true standard of faith God and Jesus write about for the believers to achieve today.   2 Tim 3:16-17 All Scriptures is God-breathed and is useful for teac
