Image
Today’s feature NZ food item: 🔹 Kiwifruit 🔹 These food blog posts are all about showcasing the food that contributes to the everyday Kiwi cuisine!  I share the food that we are familiar with, the brands that I recommend, and the ways to enjoy each food so that you can know all about the authentic Kiwi food experience too!    🌻Description: This tangy fruit is oval in shape, a bit larger than an egg in size. On the outside it has a fury rough skin, but on the inside it is a bright green edible berry fruit! It has a sweet and slightly tart taste with a bit of a crunch from its many (edible) black seeds. 🌻How to eat it: The kiwifruit is best eaten when it is slightly less than firm to squeeze. You can eat the whole thing as it is, remove the skin and cut it up, or just cut it in half and scoop it out from each half! It is often just eaten on its own, but also appears in a fruit salad or desert at times too. 🌻Where can it be purchased: Your local supermarket (I like Count

Jesus taught us to pray the Lord’s prayer which is all about how we should pray for God’s kingdom and will is to be done on earth as it is in heaven (Matt 7:9-13). Therefore, through this prayer we can see that the establishment of God’s Kingdom on the earth is His objective and will.   God’s kingdom is called Israel and appears throughout the bible in 3 main era’s. It begins with God choosing one Pastor, giving that Pastor a covenant, and telling that Pastor to rule over his people (12 tribes) with that covenant. This Pastor and 12 tribes of Israel are God’s Kingdom.   I will explain to you about God’s kingdom that has appeared in each era:   You may already know well that in Genesis 32 Jacob wrestled with God and he did not give up. He received God’s blessings because he overcame and also he was renamed Israel because of this. Jacob, his wives and his 12 sons were named by God as the Israelites.   🔹Physical Israel The one who overcomes (Israel): Jacob 12 Tribe

I wanted to start off the NZ food showcase with a bit of a fancy treat! Although there is a long-standing debate between New Zealand and Australia about where the sponge cake goodness originated from first, research proves that it was indeed invented in New Zealand – and we are happy to claim it! Sure to please most audiences, the Lamington is a light, delicate and effortlessly classy desert that must be accompanied by plenty of freshly whipped cream!   🌻Description: Light and fluffy sponge cake squares with thin flavored sauce (chocolate or raspberry) on all surfaces, topped with desiccated coconut.
